Hello my friends!
Yesterday I made this delicious nutella nut buns. I was inspired by original cardamom buns, but wanted to do a little twist and try a new taste.
On my next post I will share the recipe for the cardamom ones too. The dough is the same. 🙂
- 3 dl milk
- 1 egg
- 25 g of yeast
- 100 g sugar
- 5 g of salt
- 625 g wheat flour + a little to the table
- 100 g of soft butter
In a lukewarm milk add yeast and leave it for 2 minutes to rise.
Start mixing other ingredients in a large bowl, then add milk and knead the dough. Cover and leave until is double in size.
For the spread I have used :
3 spoons of Nutella mixed with 100g melted butter
50g crashed almonds
50g crashed hazelnuts
After 1hour your dough is ready! Spread the dough in a rectangle shape with the rolling pin until is approximately 1cm thick.
Spread over evenly nutella/butter mixture and sprinkle with nuts.Flip from both sides so you can a smaller rectangle.
I am still improving my twisting skills, but imperfections makes it perfect.
Preheat the oven to 180C or 200C (depending on how strong your oven is) and bake them for 7minutes.
When they are done you sprinkle them with warm water mixed with few drops of honey.
